Artist Statement
Susan Constanse is a formalist, working primarily in paint, collage and drawing media. The works depict not a moment but a time span, providing a denser and more meaningful representation of internal spaces.

Artist biography
Susan Constanse is a Pittsburgh native. Her work has been shown in galleries in Pittsburgh PA, Portland OR., New York, NY., Chicago, IL. and London. In addition to her studio practice, Ms. Constanse has been actively involved in community art projects in Homewood, the Hill district and East End Communities in Pittsburgh. She is a recipient of a Ludwig Vogelstein grant in support of her work and her paintings are in several private collections.
